Nike Lebron 9 Unveiled

All year we have been seeing conceptual and sample images of the Nike Lebron 9, and recently we’ve gotten previews of many of the color ways. Now we get the full story and technical specifications. If you didn’t like this shoe at a first glance, look again. This shoe is quite the monster in terms of it’s design and functionality. Head designer for the shoe, Jason Petrie wanted to make the perfect shoe for the versatility in styles of play that a unique player such as Lebron James brings to the basketball court.

This design brings together ALL of Nike’s most advanced technologies into one. The almost seamless upper couples Flywire 3.0 with Hyperfuse ventilation making it incredibly lightweight. Continuing on to the support it offers with a sole that features a 180-Air Max Unit in the heel while combining it with a Zoom Air forefoot and a stronger shank plate. The comfort is unmatchable as the shoe is designed for “lockdown support” due to its mid-foot harness that wraps around your entire foot while the cushioned lining is inspired by Nike Pro-Combat padding. The carbon-fiber side panels reminiscent of that seen on the Nike Air Max Lebron VII (7) “Red Carpet” adds to the protection of the ankle and adds some nice aesthetics to the style. Many consider Lebron the ultimate athletic specimen and it could be that Nike has finally designed the shoe-equivalent. This model is incredibly lightweight while still offering the ultimate support, breathability, and comfort.
