This is the Starter Down Jacket for the Notre Dame "Fighting Irish" in the gold, navy, and white color. The University of Notre Dame Football team has one of the longest and most accomplished histories of any collegiate program. They played their first game against Michigan in 1887 and since have won 11 National Titles and been awarded with 7 Heisman Winner. Their most notable player is arguably the best quarterback to ever play the game, Joe Montana. He attended Notre Dame from 1974-1978 and had a rough start there due to being undervalued and an injury in 1976. However, he showed early on that he was great under pressure because when he did get the chance he led his team to comebacks on multiple occasions. It wasn't until 1977 that he truly got his chance as a third string QB when the first string wasn't performing and the 2nd string suffered a career ending injury. That year Notre Dame won the National Title against an Earl Campbell (Heisman Winner) led Texas team. This jacket truly embodies the "Fighting Irish" theme and any hardcore fans would really appreciate it.
