This is the Nike SB Dunk High Pro "Doernbecher" edition. In 2004 Nike created the Nike Doernbecher Freestyle initiative which would allow a child from the Doernbecher Children's Hospital to design a color way of a Nike shoe for which all proceeds from retail sales would go to the Doernbecher Foundation. This year six children were allowed to design their own shoe creating for the first time a variety of different Doernbecher models and increasing the funds raised.

This pair was designed by Finn Mooney, a 10 year old with Hypo Plastic Left Heart Syndrome. Throughout his lifetime Finn has endured over 13 heart surgeries yet remains lively and keeps a positive mind. On the shoes upper is a print of a human heart and on the back heels the words "THUMP THUMP" are bold to suggest that his he and his heart will continue to beat. On the insoles is an illustration of Finn wearing a crown and soaring through the air with basketball in hand. The vivid sulfur and game royal colors offer awesome contrast and really stand out, especially with the red accents and metallic gold swoosh. He chose a translucent rubber outsole which reveals a nice happy face print underneath embodying Finn's enthusiasm. Add this Nike SB Dunk model to your Doernbecher collection today and be a part of the Nike Doernbecher Freestyle initiative.
