The Nike KD II (2) is an awesome performance basketball shoe but also has some great aesthetic qualities. The upper is mostly leather with a rubber heel counter, and a strap which has a Nubuck suede elephant print on it and "KD" logo. The shoe has many subtle details on it like under the strap it has the words "Pure Commitment", the mesh tongue has a "Kevin Durant" embossed leather name tag on it. The sole features a full length Nike Zoom unit while the outsole features many symbolic numbers and terms relating to Durant. The left foot outsole has Durants practice routine, schedule, and work out goals at age 9, "100 Laps, 1000 Toe Raises, 500 Push Ups, Run Hunts Hill, Duck Walks, Crab Walks, Coach Brown, No Pick Up Games, 40 Minutes Early To Practice, Live At Ito's, Kevin's Corner, I Never Quit, Defense Drills, Back In The Gym After Games, Practice On Days Off...Sunday Sessions, Grandma Brings Dinner To The Gym, Nap Behind Gym Curtain, Age 9." The right foot shows important locations like "108" (Grandmother's apartment number in building), 5720 (Address of Seat Pleasant Activity Center, Maryland), "5026" (Durant's childhood apartment/house number), "20746" (Post Office zip code where mom worked), "L & Balsamtree" (Intersection of "Hunters Hill" an uphill sprint young Durant was allowed to run). These shoes are a true symbolism of Durant's greatness which many overlooked upon release but now make a lot of sense to own in your collection.
