Accountant - New York

Job Description:

Applicants for this position will be required to perform daily accounting tasks such as book keeping, budget and cost analysis and other record keeping functions. As we continue to grow we would like to have someone join the team that will be insightful and able to ensure that we continue to grow at the pace we are currently expanding in. This position is one of the most positions that we are looking to fill and requires someone that has previous experience.

  • Month end journal entries
  • Preparing balance sheets and monthly/quarterly cash flow statements.
  • Accounts Payable and Accountants Receivable
  • Preparing Credit Card reconciliations
  • Preparing and filing federal taxes

Qualifications

- Experience: Applicants applying for this position are required to have prior work experience.

- Education: An undergraduate degree in Finance/Accounting, from a University is required.

- Requirements: Applicants will be required to work 45 hours a week in-house and must be located in New York City.

Customer Service Representative - New York

Applicants for this position will be required to communicate with customers via email and telephone. All applicants will be required to attend a 15-hour course dealing with customer communications before being hired. This position is an in-house position suitable for responsible individuals that have previous retail experience. Any customer service questions asked by our representatives must be logged and presented during our monthly employee meeting.

  • Applicants will be responsible in producing weekly reports regarding customers shopping experiences.
  • Basic knowledge in Microsoft word and excel are mandatory
  • 24 hour internet access on the weekdays is required
  • Strong email communication abilities along with formal grammar and writing skills are mandatory
  • Applicants must live in New York City

Buyer -Footwear - New York

Applicants for this position will be required to develop and maintain current and future vendor relationships. Keeping track of new trends and consulting social and blog networks daily for the latest trends within the industry. Traveling to key trade events will be required and visiting other retail establishments on a consistent basis to gain an idea on market developments. Applicants will be subject to producing presentations based on market travel and showroom visits.

  • Buyers will be responsible for converting data and market trends to produce a business objective that would yield a return on goods purchased.
  • A buyer that is able to design a strategy that can produce profitable sales. The inventory at Osneaker turns at about ten times per year. This leads to our buyers having a short lead time. It is essential that quick decisions and adjusting to market demands will be made, which will lead to an increase in website traffic.
  • Understanding and anticipating changes in the market by discovering new product lines that are not carried by our counterparts.
  • Making our suppliers feel comfortable and allowing room for negotiation without sacrificing relationships.
  • Building new relationships with potential suppliers and carrying over our business strategy into possible business opportunities.
  • Locating new business contacts and developing a long term relationship.
  • Maintaining good presentation skills and the ability to speak in front of a large group of people is required.

Qualifications
