This is a vintage Champion jacket for the Orlando Magic in their away colors. Champion was the official licensed apparel (including jerseys) maker for the NBA in the 1990's. This jacket is straight from the Shag and Penny era of the Magic. In 1992 the Orlando Magic changed their franchise forever by selecting Shaq with the number one pick in the draft. His first season with the Magic made them the most improved franchise winning 20 games more than the previous season, he was the first rookie to start in the All-Star game since Michael Jordan and won Rookie Of The Year honors. In the 1994-1995 season, with a young Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway, the Shaq-led Magic made it to the NBA Finals losing 4-0 to a dominant Houston Rockets team. The next year they faced the Chicago Bulls (best team in NBA history, record 72-10) in the Eastern Conference Finals and lost. This jacket is from the mid-90's when the Magic were a dominant force in the East. Any Magic fan or 90's sports fan would appreciate this piece.
